Belly Dance Star Competition Categories
Tribal/Fusion or Cabaret Rising Star Solo
Under 5 years experience and/or pre-
Tribal/Fusion or Cabaret Duet/Trio
Any length of experience dancing, and may be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative or Cabaret.
Tribal/Fusion Professional Solo
5 years or more experience in dance, and/or teacher and/or paid professional, restaurant performer, and must be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative.
Thursday
Tribal/Fusion or Cabaret Troupes
Four or more dancers with any length of experience dancing, may be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative and/or Cabaret.
Cabaret Professional Solo
5 years or more experience in dance, and/or teacher and/or paid professional, restaurant performer, and must be Cabaret.
Choreo length max 4 minutes
Friday
Choreo length max 5 minutes
MUST be longer than 5 minutes MAX time is 6 minutes
All dancers must be registered for one full day of dance workshops per category of competition.
The deadline for performance registration is June 1, 2021.
Voting for the Yaa Halla, Y'all Belly Dance Star & Drum Star Competition: one winner will be chosen in each category: Judges' Choice from a panel of acclaimed Professionals in our field. Additional place awards are given for the Judges’ Choices and the number of places given out are based upon the number of competitors in EACH category.
