Draconis is a multi-award winning fusion belly dancer from Dallas, holding first place titles in solo, duet and troupe categories. His most recent accomplishments include Fusion Belly Dancer of the Year 2014, Tribal Professional 2013, and an instructional video is in the works for late 2014. His background includes an eclectic mix of West African, hip hop, Samba, modern and ballet. He believes that any movement can be used for dance, and teaches a precise technique-based curriculum with emphasis on syncopation, musicality, and fluidity. His classes thoroughly break down belly dance technique, movement initiation, and stylization so the dancer can find for themselves what looks and feels best within their own unique movement expression.
