Ansuya

Ansuya is considered one of the most talented and accomplished performers, choreographers, instructors, and entrepreneurs in the Bellydance world today. As a soloist she is known for being a master of improvisation, musical interpretation, emotional expression, and costume design. Her performances are energetic, sensual and innovative – captivating audiences and inspiring students around the world to enjoy her shows and study her talents. She is an IAMED Best Cabaret Dancer of the year and a three time Golden Belly Award winner for Best Cabaret Dancer of the year.

Kaeshi Chai

Kaeshi Chai was born in Brunei and brought up in New Zealand and Australia. In 1998, she co-founded Bellyqueen, a professional New York based world dance company, in 2004 PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment), an international community of dancers and musicians dedicated to creating positive change, and in 2010, the Rising Sirens, (student troupe), and in 2011, the Flying Apsaras (temple Goddesses).

One of her greatest joys in life is sharing her love for bellydance with others by teaching.  Kaeshi considers herself an eternal student and regularly attends as many workshops and classes as she possibly can to ensure she is well-rooted in traditional bellydance as well as keeping abreast of the latest trends in this ever-evolving yet timeless art form. She is also trained in fitness to ensure that students thrive in a safe and supportive class environment.

Kaeshi has performed and taught all over the world including the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Carribean, Morocco, Bali, Australia, South America and throughout Asia. In 2002, she performed 5 shows a day to live Arabic music at Aladdin's Desert Passage in Las Vegas. In 2003-2004, she was part of the first professional touring bellydance company in the world, the Bellydance Superstars, and held the position of dance captain for the 2004 US & Canadian Spring Tour.

Miguel Crespo

Miguel Crespo is a lifelong percussionist with 22 years experience. He currently performs professionally in his original art of Latin music, playing different genres including Folklore, Salsa, Latin Jazz, Pop and Fusion. Over the last ten years he has developed his skills as a Middle Eastern percussionist. His main influences have been Hossam Ramzy(Egypt) and Erez Monk (Israel). In 2009 Miguel participated in the "Tamburimundi Festival" in Freiburg (Germany) where he had the opportunity to study with great masters such as Murat Coskun (Turkey), David Kuckhermann (Germany), Glen Velez (USA), Sattor Fozilov (Tadjikistan), David Kuckhermann (Germany), N. Scott Robinson (USA), Shekoofeh Pariab (Iran), and many others.


Miguel is an integral part of the Bereket Association, known as the pioneers of Arabic music in Colombia, with whom he has won 4 titles in the World Music Festival, organized by the Philharmonic Orchestra and The Institute of Culture and Tourism of Bogotá.

Sadie 

Sadie is an International performing artist, instructor and choreographer recognized worldwide as one of today's most exciting and innovative Belly Dance artists.  First seen as a “Rising Star” on BD-TV Vol.II in 2004, Sadie is now featured in dozens of instructional and performance DVDs displaying her dynamic style of bellydance which has captivated audiences and inspired students around the globe.  As one of the most sought after performers and teachers of Belly Dance, Sadie has visited over 70 cities in more than 30 countries and is one of the most watched bellydancers on youtube with over 20 million hits on just one video clip alone. Sadie's fans and colleagues have crowned her "The Queen of the Drum Solo". Recently Sadie and her dance partner Kaya wowed the judges of "America's Got Talent" and the American public all the way to the "Top 48" out of 70,000 auditions on season 5 of the program. They are the only Bellydancers to make it that far on the American version of the show. 

Sadie has held a lifelong passion for dance, music and culture. In addition to Bellydance Sadie has studied and practiced other forms of world dance such as, Brazilian Samba, Salsa and Tahitian to name a few.  Sadie's styling and bellydance techniques, along with those developed together with her dance partner Kaya, have marked a new genre of bellydance defined by their signature isolations known as "Pops" and "Locks", and is sought after and followed by students and teachers around the world. Together Sadie and Kaya have trained many up and coming dancers in the Denver area and the US as well as internationally.

Virginia

Having brought audiences to their feet and to tears, Virginia has captivated a worldwide public with breath taking performances, a dynamic presence, and a soulful interpretation of Oriental Dance.  She has crossed all borders leaving her indigenous mark on a diverse audience with performances that ignite the human spirit and illuminate the soul.

Considered to be one of the most influential and sought after performers, choreographers, producers and master instructors of this ancient art form she has been presented across 5 continents and almost 40 countries.  Utilizing her innovative musicality and ingenious choreographical prowess, Virginia is known for constantly reinventing the dance.  She dares to take the dance to a whole new level while staying true to her Egyptian roots.

Regarded as one of the world’s foremost instructors, she is also considered to be one of it’s most generous.  Constantly creating motivating and articulated workshops, Virginia shares a wealth of knowledge each and every time she instructs.  True to this reputation she has created 7 instructional DVD’s, 2 theatrical productions on DVD, and 2 Oriental Dance Music CD’s, all critically acclaimed by the Bellydance Community.

Faisal Zedan

Master percussionist, Faisal Zedan, showcases the elements of an Arabic virtuoso drummer - impeccable technique, combined with an inherent understanding of the complexities of Middle Eastern musical structure.  From the classical Muwashahat style, to folkloric or fusion genres, Faisal's unique and graceful approach blends thousands of years of tradition with a contemporary touch.

2009 saw the birth of Aiyal.  Under the direction of Faisal, Aiyal features prominent local musicians, Nazir Latouf, Husain Resan, Laurie Eisler, TerriAnne and Susu Pampanin.  The group preserves and performs diverse genres of traditional music and dance from the Arab world.

Bozenka

Meaning “touched by God,” the name Bozenka suits this performer, whose gift for the art of belly dancing transcends her Cuban-Czech heritage, as she enthralls audiences and inspires performers throughout the world.  As a resident of Miami, Bozenka started her training at The Mid Eastern Dance Exchange in 1998 under the leadership of Tamalyn Dallal.  She quickly distinguished herself developing an elegant, classic, earthy and charismatic style that earned her the prestigious title, Miss America of the Bellydance 2000. In July of 2006, she brought home the golden crown from the “Ahlan Wa Sahlan” dance festival in Cairo, Egypt.  This achievement was even recognized by CNN, which broadcasted the event worldwide with its headline stating, “An American Belly Dancer has taken the Egyptian crown!”

Bozenka has choreographed for Latin pop star Shakira for her 2004 and 2010 tours, performed with “Alabina” during their concert tour in Miami Beach, and entertained many celebrities including Sean Connery, Donald Trump, Hugh Hefner, Madonna, and Enrique Iglesias.  This year Bozenka has been a belly dancing globe trekker, touring with the popular dance company, the Bellydance Superstars, as a featured soloist throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.  Besides being an accomplished performer, Bozenka is one of the most sought after instructors in the Oriental dance form.   Her special teaching technique and her wonderful spirit make her workshops a fulfilling and motivating experience for all who attend.  Bozenka is a well-rounded artist and a true belly dance Superstar!

Ava Fleming

Ava Fleming brings a truly unique and modern approach to Raqs Sharki. She is an elegant example of today’s classic modern belly dancer.  With her extensive knowledge and experience in international dance styles, she has had the opportunity to perform with Boom Boom Bollywood, Punjabi by Nature, and Domba.  Her ability to capture the intricacies of music and her dedication to this art form has helped her gain the 2004 Bellydancer of the Universe title (Egyptian category), Champion, People’s Choice and Miss Congeniality.  She continues to draw inspiration from her students fresh view points, her resolution to be true to herself, living in her heart, and as always, great music and teachers.  Located in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, her unique approach to teaching earned her an invitation to instruct accredited courses at Arizona State University and Scottsdale Community College.  These classes continue to inspire and encourage many new students to enter the world of belly dance.  Ava’s instructional and performance videos have inspired and challenged many who have taken on the task of studying her elegant example of the classical modern belly dancer through which novices and masters alike will gain challenge and insight.

Amir Sofi

Amir Sofi comes to us from the historic Mediterranean seaport of Haifa, One of the largest cities in the Middle East Now an accomplished, respected musician who has traveled the world as a master of his craft, playing the Ancient Arabic Tabla, Amir has devoted his life to this versatile and powerful percussion instrument, affording him a rich and exciting career.

Career highlights include; performing with Sting and Cheb Mami at the 2001 Super Bowl to an audience of 200 million, stage and studio collaborations with (Mansour, Andy, Shani, Stevie Wonder, Michael Bolton ...) the finest Middle-Eastern and Western artists. featured soundtrack recordings on (Spy games, The halk , Scorpion King, The Keeper, 10 commandments ...) as well as accompanying the worlds best belly dance; (Jillina, Aziza, Sadie, Tamra Henna...). These are just some of the accomplishments that Amir has so far enjoyed.

The tabla was the perfect instrument to focus his youthful energies, demanding both the dynamic abilities and learned respect that he sought and now possesses. By 15, Amir had not only assembled his own band, he was enjoying performing at local events and parties in his hometown. At 18 his abilities, no longer overshadowed by his youth, took him to Cairo, Egypt, to study at the prestigious "Conservatory of Music" while performing nightly with the finest musicians and dancers in the land. Upon graduation Amir returned to his native shore but was far from slowing down. Now 19 years old he became the youngest member of the number one band at the time "Dream", lead by the talented Zoohar Prancise. Amir's gift of skill and dedication were recognized as timeless by his fellow band members that were nearly twice his age. Things were moving fast, Dream was touring and Amir found time to collaborate with other well established bands plus regular performances on the most popular television shows broadcast throughout The Middle East. Amir enjoyed his first opportunity to travel with "Dream" on a 2 year tour throughout The Middle East, Europe, America and Canada.

Upon returning to America to release "Millennium" Amir had the strong desire to give back to the world. The platform he chose was through the beautiful collaborations with many talented belly dancers by educating and inspiring new talent through his touring workshops. Focusing on the connection between dancer and drummer, building respect and greater understanding for one another's art form.

Continuing his artistic mission, Amir Produced his most recent Albums Amir Sofis Guide to Middle Eastern Rhythms (Volume 1 & 2) to help audiens identify and become familiar with rhythms of the Arab world and beyond. Amir teaches the counts, plays the rhythms, and gives examples of how some of these rhythms sound as part of a musical arrangement. This is an essential tool for any dancer or musician.

Amaya

An internationally acclaimed dance performer, Amaya has danced all her life and in many facets of show business. She has traveled extensively throughout nineteen different countries teaching and performing. She produces the annual “Wise Woman Dance Retreat” in New Mexico.  As a performer, Amaya’s dance is filled with passion and fire, tempered with elegance and flashes of fun.  Twenty-eight years of teaching has helped Amaya in expertly instructing the beginning dancer to the professional dancer by incorporating basic level steps to “super-embellished” moves while using dynamic music — all mixed with a healthy dose of humor and life philosophies. This combination provides all level seminar attendees with a satisfying, challenging workshop experience.  Amaya is sharing her enormous font of knowledge and experience to enable the Professional and/or Semi-Pro to maximize their talents, potential, and business acumen in their exposure to the dance scene.
