Saqra's Structured Improv Tech for Props and Floor Dancing Improvisation is all about understanding structuring for excitement and staying within your abilities. We will explore technique and moves with both floor and different periods but it is all within your fitness and ability framework. Alternate moves for all levels. The goal is understanding how to build a truly exciting routine fully and confidently improvised. And maybe some moves that are new to you!

ShoShannah's SPEAKEASY (Jazz on the Raqs) You'll need the password to enter...it's two hips and a shimmy :) In this theatrical inspired workshop, we will be taking it back to the 1920s with a little jazz on the Raqs and a lotta sassy sass. We will learn 2 short choreographies (long combinations) that are dripping with fusion, Jazz, and of course raqs sharqi. Be ready to have a swell time cause this workshop is the bees knees! (This particular workshop can also have performance opportunity if you want to include that option. It's easy to costume if participants bring a 1920s style dress.)

The Full SHO. One of Sho's favorites! A free pass for me to unleashed the shimmies in full shofusion flavor. In this workshop, we will dance, shimmy, pop, lock, raq it out in showgirl fashion, have a little dance hall party, throw in a jazz hand or two, and even slip in a little preparation for the stage. We'll have a Jolly good time listening to great music and dancing together with joy in our hearts and shimmies in our hips.

AMAYA'S Can You Taxim? Exploring the Magic of Slow Interpretation. A beautiful taxim isn't just about the steps - it's about the space between them. AMAYA will explore ideas to move your dance out of your feet and into your torso. Hold the moment, take your time, create the Taxim Magic. Explore dancing in the magical moment with more feeling than thinking.
