Amaya has been in the dance business for over 40 years as an international performer, choreographer, teacher, documentary producer and mentor. Her mission is to create Goddesses. Primarily she does this through her “Wise Women DO Bellydance” classes and her annual Wise Woman Retreat. She has dabbled in the health industry and has also worked for 10 years in hospice. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico, massage therapy, various folkloric dance forms, and has dabbled in, most importantly, in intensive studies in LIFE. Based out of New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment, Amaya travels with her messages of dance history, culture, empowerment, and grace.
