Miguel Crespo is a lifelong percussionist from Columbia South America, with more than 22 years of experience. He currently performs professionally in his original art of Latin music, playing different genres, including Folkloric, Salsa, Latin, Jazz, Pop and Fusion. Over the last ten years he has developed his skills as a Middle Eastern percussionist, His main influences have been Hozzam Ramzy (Egypt) and Erez Monk (Israel).
I can honestly say his class was one of the most entertaining I attended at Yaa Halla, Y’all, 2014. The mixture of the syncopated Latin rhythms and Arabic rhythms was delightful and very inspiring to drummers looking for new sounds to add to their repertoire. ~ Madira Su’ad
